Daniel S. Spiro is the principal and owner of Exposure Illumination Architects Inc (Expo). Daniel is an architect, an expert lighting designer, and an inventor. Daniel's lighting consultancy career spans over 40 years. His design expertise focuses on illumination solutions for big-box retail, office, manufacturing, and distribution logistics spaces.

Name brand companies Daniel has provided design services for have included Costco Wholesale, American Express, ProLogis, Crate & Barrel, Iron Mountain, the Mills Corporation, BMW, Comercial Mexicana, and PriceSmart.

In 2010, Daniel filed his first patent for a new, low profile surface mounted LED luminaire. Since then, Daniel has filed well over 100 granted patents for new products and systems. Luminaire and illumination system solutions invented by Daniel have become industry products and practices.

A successful track record of lighting products commercialization of Daniel's innovations by leading manufacturers has led Daniel to change Expo's direction. Today Daniel's design firm, Expo, is solely focused on R&D and the commercialization of Daniel's innovations.

Daniel is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he earned a B.A. degree in architecture and a B.S. degree in building science. Daniel is a member of the Arizona chapter of the AIA, and a member of the North American Illumination Engineering Society.
