The Company

Exposure Illumination Architects Inc. (Expo) is an innovation technology company in the lighting space. The company was established in 1995 by Daniel S. Spiro, the company's owner and principal. Based in Scottsdale Arizona, the company develops and commercializes best in class building industry innovations.

From its beginning Expo has been recognized as an innovative force in the lighting industry. Until 2025, the company provided illumination design services to major name brand clients including Costco Wholesale, American Express, ProLogis, PriceSmart, Iron Mountain, the Mills Corporation, BMW, Comercial Mexicana, and Crate & Barrel. As of 2026, Expo’s sole focus is R&D work and the commercialization of Daniel’s innovations.

Aiming for lighting design excellence, Daniel (our company’s lead designer) regularly identifies product gaps in the lighting industry. These gaps limit designers’ abilities and frequently increase project costs. When Daniel identifies a need for a new product, he invents it.

Expo's team (including sub-consultants) has extensive expertise in optical, thermal, electrical, and mechanical design. Expo's team possesses broad knowledge in material science and manufacturing processes. The team also has a long and successful track record working alongside OEM partners in the development and commercialization of Daniel’s innovations.
